Aladdin at New Amsterdam Theatre

Aladdin is a loveable character in the musical of the same name. Growing up in the difficult streets, Aladdin meets Princess Jasmine, the daughter of the Sultan of Agra bah. While visiting the Princess’ exotic palace, Aladdin finds a magical oil lamp that unleashes a very larger than life genie.

As the story unfolds we learn that there is an evil sorcerer named Jafar who wants to depose the Sultan and that it is up to Aladdin and his genie buddy to save them.

This narrative gets even more magical the more it is told. It teaches us that we should not try to be someone that we are not, and nor should we follow what others think we should be.
